May U.S. Jobs Data Pivotal: Week Ahead

U.S. Economic Prospects Starting To Improve?
Increasingly, it appears that markets, and the Fed may be looking beyond mixed U.S. data to a strong recovery later in the year. These data have yet to materialize, but recent data have not been as weak as they had been a month or so ago. I would would characterize them currently as "mixed". For its part, the Fed increasingly seems worried that its policy of excessive policy ease has gone on for too long. The central would very much like to return to a more "normal" monetary policy. Key
