Victims or Victimized? Forex Brokers vs. Forex Traders

The fallout from the SNB shocker is back in the news with a WSJ article on Saxo’s efforts to recover losses from client negative balances bringing attention back on retail forex. Before I go on, I want to re-emphasize that this was an unprecedented event in the history of forex trading that is not likely to be repeated in the future. It was caused by the reckless actions of a central bank that saw institutions and brokers victimized by what turned into a flash crash, and funds and individual traders become victims.
