I sometimes find it shocking how fast market sentiment can change. In the most recent week, opinions about how far oil prices will fall have been shifting in the direction of a further and deeper decline in prices in response to not only greater supply estimates, but also slackening demand. there is a concern that the Eurozone economy is going to be slower than expected to recover. This also is true of the U.K. Japan and China. Slower world growth would mean less demand for oil. Oil prices have been falling and this is creating a dilemma for central banks trying to combat deflation.
