Geopolitical Crisis?
Political hot-spots abound at the moment with the Israel conflict continuing, the U.S. ready to take actions in Iraq and Russian action in Ukraine increasingly likely. History suggests that political factors often do not impact the markets for an extended time period, they can have intense short-term effects. What continues to confound us is the inability of credit markets in particular to return to some semblance of normality. Until the credit and equity markets normalize, forex traders are likely to hug close to the sidelines.
