Why is the EURUSD Bid?

The question should read Why is the EURUSD bid and what would it take to get it lower? I wrote an article over a month and a half ago and it is still relevant today as the market awaits yet another ECB meeting. Unlike each of the past meetings this year, there seems to be little expectation that the ECB will ease monetary policy so the surprise would be if it takes some action, even one that is more symbolic than substantive. As I have noted, our role as an advocate is not to give trading advice but in this case, I came across another article (see the bottom of this page) that will explain the deflation risk in the Euro zone and why it is so frustrating to those who see a need for the ECB to ease policy.
