The Global Traders Association is your advocate in the global world of trading.
According to Merriam Webster an Advocate is:
1: one that pleads the cause of another.
2: one that defends or maintains a cause or proposal
3: one that supports or promotes the interests of another
All three definitions apply to the Global Traders Association.
Our name tells it all:
GLOBAL: Like the financial markets today, we are global in scope. In addition to North American markets, we also participate with brokers and regulatory agencies in all the major markets. This includes, but is not limited to : North America, Australia/New Zealand,, Asia and Europe
TRADERS: Our focus is on the concerns of the individual trader whether they are Forex traders or other traders who can often feel helpless when confronting either large private or governmental institutions. There are times when a group can be more effective than an individual.
ASSOCIATION: This is an association of traders such as Forex traders who has banded together as a group to fight for their common concerns. All too often recently government and industry interests have been making major policy decisions without sufficient organized input from those most impacted by their decisions. In numbers there is strength. Don’t forget, it is the squeaky wheel that gets the grease!
In addition to advocating on the behalf of traders with trading institutions, we also are committed as best we can to helping the trading performance of traders through education tools and by introducing members to other means of support from trusted sources that come our way.
Our efforts are a two-way street. We rely on reports from trading institutions for information on regulatory changes that are being contemplated. We also require reports from individual traders on how their brokers and regulatory bodies are performing. The sooner we hear about potential issues for traders the faster we can respond.
